MiniMax ships M3.1 Flash, saying agentic tasks cost 70% less than on its previous model Company claim

  • MiniMax says M3.1 Flash makes online inference nearly three times faster and reduces usage cost for agentic tasks by 70% against its predecessor, at flat pricing of $0.15 per 1M input tokens, $0.60 per 1M output and $0.015 per 1M cached input.
  • MiniMax's own figures put the model at 73.7% on DeepSWE v1.1, 82% on CyberGym, 61.7 on OSWorld V2, 29.6 on Agents' Last Exam and 76.2 on BankerToolBench, and say the anonymous "Space Bunny" model that processed more than 200 trillion tokens was an early version of M3.1 Flash.
  • SiliconANGLE notes DeepSeek said over the weekend that its updated V4.1-Flash resolved 77% of tasks on DeepSWE v1.1 against M3.1 Flash's 73.7%, and that neither result has been checked independently.
  • Every benchmark number here is MiniMax's own and is not independently verified. MiniMax says model weights will be released later but gives no date.
